Tweezers

For electronic assembly, you need ESD-safe (Electrostatic Discharge safe), anti-magnetic precision tweezers, typically made of high-grade stainless steel.

  • Anti-Magnetic: This property prevents the tweezers from becoming magnetised over time and interfering with sensitive electronics.
  • Material: High-quality, non-magnetic stainless steel is the most common and durable material, often with a protective coating.
  • Finish: A matte or black anti-glare coating reduces eye strain and improves visibility under bright task lighting.

Tip Types: The tip shape you choose will depend on the specific task:

  • Pointed (Fine Tip): Ideal for reaching into small, hard-to-access areas and handling tiny surface-mount components with precision.
  • Bent/Curved: Offers an easier control angle for the user, improving visibility and access to recessed components while reducing hand fatigue.
  • Blunt/Flat: Best for handling larger components without risk of damage or entanglement that a sharp point might cause, as they offer a larger gripping surface area.
